What is the Intergalactic Journal?

What is this?
This is the Bradley University Intergalactic Journal. We are a student-run publication at Bradley University focused on culture, arts and anything interesting.

Who writes on this?
BUIJ has a staff of writers, but anyone who wants to can contribute. The only thing you have to do to be included is submit an article, piece of artwork, essay, etc. You can submit once and vanish, become a regular contributer or anything in between. If you want to become more involved, come to our meetings. Become a member of our facebook group to get more information about meetings or email us at intergalacticjournal@gmail.com to request to be added to our email list.

What will you take?
Art, poetry, prose, design, money, webdesign help, essay, opinion pieces, longer fiction, photography, comics, desserts, reviews (film, music, experiences, objects, teachers, foods, flowers, etc.), ideas, street teamers and whatever else you can do. Please note: We will not accept or evaluate submissions that have already been published elsewhere, so please do not submit work that has already been published.

How do I submit?
Email all submissions to intergalacticjournal@gmail.com. Include the title of your submission and the category you think it fits into (short story, poetry, photography, etc.) in the subject line. An editor will review your submission and get back to you once we’ve evaluated it. As noted above, we will not evaluate or publish any work that has already been published elsewhere, so please do not resubmit pieces that have already been published somewhere else.

Do you exist solely on the internet?
No! We put out a print copy every year. The submission deadline to have a chance to be featured in BUIJ’s 2011 print edition is April 8 (by midnight). Currently, the only way to get your hands on a copy of our print journal is by coming to a BUIJ event on Bradley’s campus.

Events? You mean this organization is not limited just to pictures and words in digital and print media?
Right! The Intergalactic Journal is interested in reporting on, perpetuating and creating a culture of things that are awesome. We have thrown concerts, dance parties and held a screening of old, nostalgic cartoons.

I have ideas and I’d like to get involved…
Send an email to intergalacticjournal@gmail and ask to be added to our email list to find out about meetings. For other information, just click and join our facebook group.
